An amazing turn out for the 1st annual Power Up conference. Teachers came to learn, grow, and ask questions together! Collectively Physical Education teachers from around San Diego County embraced the community and camaraderie, teachers and administrators all the way from San Marcos down to National City. The spirit of learning was felt and the vibes were great as educators connected grew as one in the important landscape of Physical Education and Health.
The San Diego Unified School District will be a leader in physical education by providing high-quality professional development opportunities and support to physical educators in their efforts to provide instruction that equips students with the skills and knowledge necessary to be physically literate individuals who are able to engage with physical activity throughout their lifetime.
The Physical Education department supports district physical educators by providing best practices and innovative programming that promotes positive engagement necessary to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitude to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
